Position Summary
The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing small engines, generators, pumps, pressure washers, carpet cleaning equipment, and other specialty equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
The Service Technician works closely with customers and internal team members to ensure equipment is repaired efficiently and returned to service in optimal operating condition.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
- Perform repairs on small engines, pumps, generators, pressure washers, and specialty equipment.
Conduct preventative maintenance and routine service. - Read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
- Utilize testing and diagnostic equipment to identify equipment failures.
- Perform welding, soldering, and component replacement as needed.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and repair records.
- Communicate repair fi ndings and recommendations clearly.
- Follow established safety procedures and company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support customer satisfaction through professional service and communication.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a mechanic, service technician, or equipment repair technician.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and components.
- Ability to lift and move equipment and parts as required.
- Technician is required to provide and maintain their own basic hand tools necessary to perform assigned duties.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Small engine repair experience.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Soldering experience.
- Experience with generators, pumps, pressure washers, or carpet cleaning equipment.
- Technical school or vocational training in mechanical repair.
- Industry certifi cations related to equipment maintenance or repair.
- Experience in a dealership, fl eet, or repair shop environment.
