04.15.27 - 04.16.27 - Trauma & Crime Scene Technician (TCST)
The Trauma & Crime Scene Technician (TCST) course provides specialized training in the safe and proper remediation of trauma, crime scene, and other biohazard-contaminated environments. Based on the ANSI/IICRC S540 Standard for Trauma and Crime Scene Cleanup, the course prepares technicians to identify hazards, develop appropriate work procedures, and safely clean, decontaminate, remove, transport, and dispose of materials affected by blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials.
Training covers health and safety requirements, hazard assessments, proper use and removal of personal protective equipment (PPE), structural and contents remediation, cleaning and demolition procedures, biohazard waste handling, and applicable requirements for hazardous material transportation, storage, and disposal. The course also addresses specialized remediation of vehicles and industrial machinery, including lockout/tagout procedures and coordination with industrial site personnel.
